Our Story
Redefining luxury textiles through uncompromising craftsmanship and contemporary design.
The Beginning
Founded on the belief that a rug is the foundational artwork of any room, Reknott began as a small collective of designers and master weavers. We recognized a gap between traditional oriental rugs and sterile, machine-made modern alternatives.
Our mission was simple: bring the architectural, editorial edge of contemporary design to the ancient, painstaking art of hand-knotting. We wanted to create pieces that didn't just cover floors, but commanded attention.
We operate our own workshops in India, ensuring that every artisan is paid fairly and works in excellent conditions. By removing the middlemen and managing the entire supply chain, we offer unprecedented quality and transparency.
A Reknott rug is not a product; it is a collaborative sculpture. It is months of human effort, natural materials, and bold design, culminating in a piece that will outlive us all.
